Strike continues at Alcoa's Australian aluminum project; union says it will hold further talks with management
Melbourne, September 26 - Unions at Alcoa's West Australian aluminum project said they will meet with management on Wednesday to try to find a solution to the strike, which has lasted more than six weeks. Optimized design of hollow, planar, and long-section aluminum profile dies
1. Optimization of some large-section hollow profiles molds. In conventional designs, hollow profiles with large hollow sections often exhibit defects such as large-area waviness, excessive planar gaps, and obvious welds. These problems are usually due to unreasonable mold design structures. Therefore, the author adopted a biased bridge for the upper mold and added convex ribs in the hopper for the lower mold. During the production process, defects such as large-area waviness and excessive planar gaps in the profiles are generally caused by the high metal flow velocity near the center of the large-area distribution holes. To fully prepare for air pollution prevention and control work during the autumn and winter of 2018-2019, Vice Premier Han Zheng of the State Council presided over the first meeting of the Leading Group for Air Pollution Prevention and Control in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and surrounding areas and delivered an important speech.
